Game Designer

TryMyGames Studio is looking for an ambitious Game Designer who wants and can create engaging and enjoyable game experiences designed for a broad audience. Your primary focus will be on designing game mechanics, level and progression systems.

Responsibilities:

• Create and refine game concepts, mechanics, and systems that align with the target audience and project goals. Develop detailed game design documents, including feature specifications and flowcharts.
• Design and implement in-game economics, virtual goods, and other revenue-generating systems.
• Playtest and analyze game metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven design decisions. Continuously iterate on game systems, mechanics, and content to enhance player satisfaction and longevity.
• Stay informed about industry trends, player preferences, and emerging technologies in the PC games space. Analyze competitor games and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Clearly communicate design ideas, concepts, and requirements to the development team. Assignment and monitoring tasks and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.
• Big Steam games library, or any other gaming platform.
• Experience with level design and game balancing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and ability to make decisions.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to handle constructive feedback adequately.
• Creativity.
• Sense of color and design.
• Good understanding of technical aspects of video game development;
• Avid passion for playing and analyzing videogames in genres such as adventure, action, RPG, and, of course, indie/novelty/artsy games.

• Portfolio demonstrating your contributions to past projects. Include a video if a project is not yet released.
