PHP Developer

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PHP, Symfony framework, and related technologies. Responsibilities include full systems lifecycle management, feature development in two-week sprints, and ongoing maintenance. Excellent English communication skills are essential. This role will involve full systems lifecycle management, feature development, and maintenance in collaboration with senior team members in the Nordics.

Job responsibilities:

• Conducts systems and requirements analyses to identify project action items.
• Contributes to task lists and cost and time estimates to support project plan development.
• Performs assigned functions and tasks to meet project plan and quality review requirements.
• Records, updates, and monitors assignment deviations to ensure effective resolutions.
• Raises issues as appropriate to support effective resolutions.
• Analyzes specifications and user requirements to perform assigned applications development work.
• Assists with system components' designs to meet requirements.
• Participates in design and code reviews to improve quality.
• Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, and documents to develop application software.
• Develops unit test plans to deliver quality components.
• Performs testing and fixes of small components to ensure compliance with functional requirements.
• Creates technical documentation to communicate and update project teams and stakeholders.
• Performs applications maintenance and support functions to support problem resolution.

Job requrements:

• Extensive experience working on PHP, AngularJS, MySQL, Symfony 
• My SQL database experience
• Pusher web sockets
• API First methodology with Rest API / Webhooks
• Agile Methodologies (Scrum)
• AWS deployment and real multi-tenant cloud
• Symfony framework - reusable PHP components
• Experience working with distributed teams across regions and time zones
• Strong organizational skills
• Display detailed, critical, quality-oriented, and skeptical thinking about the product
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
• 4 - 7 years of experience developing browser-based software applications in PHP and AWS architecture

Experience with several of the following tools/technologies is desirable:

• GIT, Jira, and other development tools
• Microservices Architecture, Domain Driver Design, Test Driven Development is a must
• Design Patterns and implementing the Design Patterns
• Development of Complex Application and System Architectures
• Data Structures and Algorithms using PHP
• Experience working with AWS Cloud will be a big bonus as all our back-end systems are in the Cloud

- AWS deployment 
- AWS utilization 
- AWS Scalability 

Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:

• Continuous Integration (Travis) and Continuous Delivery Tools like GitHub, Git, etc. 
• Containerization Technologies (Docker)
