Regulatory affairs consultant (Moldova)

EAS Strategies is a global leader in providing strategic advice on the impact of regulatory developments in FMCG sector across the globe. With a core specialization in the food area, many in our team are leaders in their field regionally and globally. Due to continuous expansion in the CIS region, we are seeking a qualified consultant to support our current projects and analyze the fast-changing regulatory environment in Moldova.

Responsibilities:
- monitoring and analyzing regulatory initiatives, legal drafts and proposals in food and feed (for cats and dogs) markets covering technical regulation, export and import requirements, veterinary and sanitary control, food and feed safety, product labeling, product traceability, product conformity assessment and registration, healthy lifestyle strategies (FOPNL, taxation), food packaging, extended producers’ responsibility, trade regulation, consumer protection, etc.
- assessing potential impact and providing advice on the application and the interpretation of regulatory and legislative norms.

Our candidate:
- has higher education in food technology, natural sciences, medical sciences, law or political science
- has profound knowledge of legislative process in Moldova and working experience in public policy
- understands conformity assessment procedures
- has contacts in Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, National Agency for Food Safety, Ministry of Health, Ministry of the Environment, associations, think-tanks
- has professional knowledge of Romanian and English. Knowledge of Russian is a plus.
