Robotics Software Engineer
We're seeking for a talented Robotics Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Our partners are leading logistics automation provider based in the Netherlands, specializing in cutting-edge warehouse solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement the software stack for AGV/AMR solutions using ROS2.
- Work on motion planning, path-following, localization using external guidance (e.g., markers, optical guidance), and control algorithms.
- Integrate with a Fleet Management System that would control the AGVs/AMRs and IoT infrastructure.
- Develop real-time, Linux-based robotic applications using C++ and/or Python.
- Collaborate closely with a distributed team (software developers, mechanical engineers, and business/product stakeholders) across Moldova and the Netherlands.
- Participate in architectural decisions, advocate for best practices, and propose technical solutions.
- Ensure high-quality software through code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
- Communicate directly with the client, gathering requirements and aligning development efforts with business needs.
- Conduct onsite testing and debugging in the Netherlands as needed.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in robotics software development or embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of ROS2, including navigation, sensor integration, and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with Linux-based development and real-time computing.
- Solid understanding of robot kinematics, control systems, and localization techniques using external guidance (e.g., markers, QR codes, magnetic/optical guidance).
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or low-level hardware integration is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership of the development process.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to interact directly with stakeholders and clients.
