Job description
Perform all duties related to the procurement of goods and services specific to the requirements of the project. This position requires a proactive and very detail-oriented person who excels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives
• Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery
• Solicit quotes for materials and services (labor)
• Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price
• Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders. 
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
• Requisition checks/wire transfers to be sent to vendors for payments necessary to process orders and, authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
• Expedite orders to be delivered to designate warehouse according to the project schedule
• Verify receipt of items at the designated warehouse in preparation for installation
• Schedule and coordinate delivery of product according to the project schedule

Qualifications and experience

• 1 or 2 years purchasing experience (but not mandatory)
• Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• English is mandatory, Italian is a plus
